My Life Trajectory

More About How I Became A Psychotherapist

Almost from day one, I didn’t fit into the environment around me.

To make matters worse, I soon realized that the wider world felt just as unsafe. To survive, I did what many of us do: I made rigid vows to protect myself, built a persona to hide behind, and ran away whenever things got too heavy.

Growing up was a turbulent journey. I experienced glorious highs alongside moments mired deep in hardship. Outwardly, I was the "good boy," fiercely determined to live life better than anyone who came before me. Having grown up in a community of conditional love, I deeply craved to be truly seen, heard, and accepted.

It took a long time to shed that heavy idealism. In the process of trying to navigate a harsh reality, I made mistakes, harming myself and others. What I didn’t know then was that this painful journey was setting me on a trajectory to find my own compass and roadmap—one that would eventually lift the crushing weight of anxiety and depression from my shoulders.

Eventually, the signs pointed me toward a master’s program that changed everything. It set my course aright and lightened my load considerably. Equipped with these new tools, I realized I couldn't keep them to myself. I was knocked off the pillar of my own self-centeredness and discovered the profound wonder of serving others through psychotherapy.

That is why you are reading this today.

If you are carrying heavy burdens, you do not have to carry them alone. I have spent my time, resources, and life lessons learning how to help people climb out from under the things that disrupt their joy and fulfillment. Thank you for taking a moment to engage with my story. I look forward to connecting with you soon, human soul to human soul.
